Supporting the People of Ruddington

For well over twenty years St Peter’s Care Home, Orchard House, and Balmore Country House {pictured L to R above} have been providing care and support to the people of Ruddington and its surrounding area.

Together they form part of the Ruddington Retirement Village, managed, and operated by the My Care group, and along with the brand new Ruddington Retirement Apartments, constructed in 2022, provide an invaluable care resource for local people.

Over the last decade, My Care has worked hard to develop the three homes so that they complement each other, delivering comprehensive care choice for Ruddington…

St Peter’s Care Home, situated a stone’s throw from the village Church of the same name, offers residential care for people with low level needs. Some of St Peter’s residents are still quite independent but do need some assistance with day-to-day personal tasks. Some of the home’s residents live with onset or low-level dementia, which the specially trained personnel at St Peter’s are well equipped to help with.

Orchard House is also situated in the heart of the village on Easthorpe Street. The home offers residential care and supports people living with more advanced dementia. It is a beautiful house that has been sympathetically developed to retain original features from its Victorian past. The home has two lounges and a large dining room, as well as two beautiful conservatories, which look out over the home’s lovely gardens.

Balmore Country House, set back from the Loughborough Road, is a beautiful, converted property, standing in its own grounds. It offers support to the most vulnerable people in our community with nursing care, residential care and support for those people living with advanced dementia needs. The fully trained team delivers great care to residents and helps support families through what can be a stressful and difficult time.

The aim, across the three homes, has always been to create a community of care, where loved ones can have privacy, dignity and are able to retain independence if they are able to. My Care’s support for families starts with assessing and advising on the best form of care for a loved one. They recognise that everyone is different, and care needs to be delivered in a tailored way. They sit down with families and work out what is the right care plan to deliver maximum happiness and fulfilment in later life.

Whatever your care needs now, or in the future, My Care are here to help and support you and your family, with a comprehensive range of accommodation and care provision. My Care have long been associated with delivering great care across the Nottingham and East Midlands region. They are proud to have served the people of Ruddington over many years and look forward to doing so well into the future.
